These opulent automobiles have plush seating and opulent amenities.

People buy cars for a variety of reasons. The search process takes into account price, performance, safety, and efficiency. However, the cabin of a car is where you will interact with it the most. An uncomfortable interior may not be obvious on the dealer lot, but it will become apparent with time.

Keeping this in mind, U.S. News & World Report has compiled a list of this year’s most comfortable luxury vehicles based on interior score. This list does not only include large luxury saloons. Sedans, sports cars, and coupes are among the most comfortable rides available.

2022 BMW 7 Series

The 7 Series is BMW’s top-of-the-line luxury sedan. It offers a composed, comfortable ride as well as a selection of powerful engines with refined power delivery. The 7 Series’ real strength is its spacious, quiet cabin. Genuine leather upholstery, heated and 20-way power-adjustable front seats, and quad-zone automatic climate control are standard. The rear seats also have plenty of head- and legroom.

The 7 Series includes the user-friendly iDrive infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless device charging, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. A power trunk, soft-closing doors, and BMW’s gesture-control function are among the other useful features on the 7-Series.

The Audi A4 is a refined, small luxury sedan with a high-quality interior and plenty of front-row head- and legroom. The comfort in this Audi comes in a variety of forms, such as the intuitive MMI infotainment system, which includes convenient wireless Apple CarPlay.

Ride quality is another source of comfort. The A4 absorbs road imperfections and strikes a balance between driving refinement and athleticism. The A4’s posh and serene cabin environment is enhanced by standard leather upholstery and heated front seats. To top it all off, this Audi is very good at blocking out road and wind noise.

Chevrolet Corvette

It would have been difficult to imagine the Corvette on this list ten years ago. Two generations later, the Corvette now has a spacious (for a sports car) cabin with excellent fit and finish. Its new mid-engine layout allows for more efficient packaging, resulting in a more comfortable cockpit.

Leather upholstery, GT1 power-adjustable sport bucket seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, a Bose audio system, and an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette. It’s all wrapped up in a striking design that arranges many of the controls in a swooping line from the dash to the center console.

Polestar 2

Volvo co-owns the Polestar brand of luxury electric vehicles. The Polestar 2 is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle, following on from the hybrid Polestar 1 supercar. It features a liftback coupe-style layout with up to 38.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Acceleration is extremely quick, and power delivery is smoother than that of some competitors.

The Polestar 2 features an artistic cabin design and high-quality materials. Its upscale WeaveTech cloth upholstery demonstrates that you don’t need leather to provide a luxurious experience (though Nappa leather is available). It also has enough room for adults in both rows.

Wireless device charging, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon premium stereo, and an 11.2-inch touch-screen infotainment system with navigation are standard features.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has received a facelift for 2021, with new exterior and interior styling. It also gets the brand’s cutting-edge MBUX infotainment system, which has an easy-to-use interface and can handle complex voice commands. This system is controlled by a 12.3-inch touch screen and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The cabin of the E-Class is world-class, with an elegant dash layout. The sedan’s seats are comfortable and, in base models, are upholstered in synthetic leather (genuine leather upholstery is optional). Remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, a FrontBass audio system, heated front seats, a sunroof, and other features are also standard.

BMW 5 Series

The BMW 5 Series has a plethora of driver-assistance features that contribute to its high safety rating. It is also available with a variety of powerful engines, which complement its refined, confident handling. This BMW glides over the road, absorbing most of the bumps and cracks it may encounter.

The 5 Series sedan is extremely well-equipped, including 16-way power-adjustable front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and a moonroof. The intuitive iDrive infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation is controlled by the standard 12.3-inch touch screen.

The Audi TT is a sporty, upscale sports car with a selection of powerful standard and optional turbocharged engines. It has sharp handling that will make any performance enthusiast happy.

The TT convertible seats two people and the coupe seats four, though the rear seats are best used for storing extra luggage or shopping bags. You’ll get standard leather upholstery, as well as heated and power-adjustable front seats, regardless of body style.

A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, smartphone compatibility, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system are also standard.

Sportback models are available. The Sportback has the most spacious passenger space of the three and up to 35 cubic feet of cargo space. The front seats are supportive and comfortable in all three body styles.

Leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and tri-zone automatic climate control are all standard features on the A5. It also includes a simple 10.1-inch touch-screen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Genesis G90

The Audi R8 is a world-class supercar powered by a mid-mounted V10 engine producing 562 horsepower. This enables it to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 201 mph. It is poised and athletic, but not harsh, making it a more comfortable supercar to drive on a daily basis.

The R8 could rest on its performance laurels, but it also has a well-appointed, appealing interior. It has plenty of head- and legroom, and the seats are comfortable and supportive even when traveling long distances. This is a rare feature among supercars. The R8 also has a digital instrument panel for controlling infotainment functions such as navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
